The DigiComp® HD color standards are precisely manufactured for crisp, clean separation of the foreground and background in digital compositing – resulting in little or no post-production “touch-up” needed. Rosco DigiComp® HD paints are specially formulated to provide the proper luminance and RGB values for optimum operation of all digital compositing systems.

The single-source pigments in DigiComp® HD produce a highly specific spectral reflectance and high-gain reflectivity. This results in a bright, narrow bandwidth of green that is both simple to light and easy to key. With reduced spectral interference, productions save valuable post-production time.

Ready for use straight out of the can, DigiComp® HD provides even coverage in two easy-to-apply coats. It is intended for most porous surfaces – including wood, wallboard, sheetrock, plaster, and concrete. For best results, ensure the surface is clean, primed, and properly prepared. Application can be done with a 3/8” nap roller or a spray gun. Refer to our application guide or video for detailed instructions.

DigiComp® HD paints are engineered with an ultra-flat finish—completely free of any sheen or gloss. This is critical for green screens, as any unwanted shine can register as white or yellow on camera and interfere with keying.

While DigiComp® HD is available in both green and blue, experts recommend using a green screen for digital/HD production because digital sensors are generally more sensitive to green. Ensure that the background contrasts with key foreground elements for optimal keying results.
