Rosco Supersaturated Roscopaint – Velour Black is a unique vinyl acrylic paint packaged in concentrated form. Designed to be diluted with water at a minimum ratio of 1:1, this premium paint offers vibrant, opaque color fields as well as bright, translucent washes that mimic the intensity of aniline dyes without the health hazards. Its exclusive binder delivers superior adhesion, durability, and flexibility even on challenging surfaces.

This formulation is available exclusively in the Velour Black color option featuring a flat/matte finish.

Dilute the concentrated paint at least 1:1 with water, Rosco Clear Acrylic Glaze, or a combination of both as needed. Dilution reduces the color concentration to create beautiful glaze effects. However, diluting with more than 5 parts water may reduce binder strength—adding Rosco Clear Acrylic Glaze helps to restore adhesion and flexibility.

Ensure that surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dirt and grease. For porous surfaces (except fabrics), use Rosco Tough Prime as a base. If painting a new plaster surface, first apply a commercial primer/sealer designed for raw plaster, then finish with Rosco Tough Prime.

Stir contents well before each use. Apply by brush, roller, or spray gun in thin, uniform coats using a high-quality applicator. Use overlapping strokes while maintaining a wet edge, and change roller direction frequently to avoid patterns and streaking.

• Film Thickness: 1:1 Dilution = 1.5 mil dry film
• Coverage: At 3:1 dilution, approximately 300 sq. ft. per gallon (28 sq. m. per 3.79L), depending on substrate, application tool, and film thickness
• Avg. Dry Time: At 75°F (24°C), dries to the touch in 30–45 minutes; can be recoated in 1–2 hours
• Clean-Up: Soap and water
• Shelf Life: Approximately 24 months for unopened, sealed paint when stored in a temperature-controlled environment

Rosco Supersaturated Roscopaint – Velour Black is available in both 1 Quart and 1 Gallon sizes.

• Do not apply when surface or air temperatures are below 50°F (10°C).
• Keep from freezing.
• Avoid prolonged contact with skin or inhaling spray.
